Input from other people and from material reality, itself, has a tremendous influence on the Self I manifest.
Since my retirement from Louisville’s public school system, I’ve been experimenting with curating that input. Being as discerning as possible, in each moment, about the influences I expose myself to. Keeping them as positive and helpful as I can.
I’ve developed two primary avenues to manifest that desire:
- Intentionally craft uplifting and rewarding activities like spending time with my parents and volunteering in my community.
- Intentionally finding the uplift and reward, no matter how “inconsequential”, in mundane tasks and chores like doing the laundry and walking the dogs.
Both ways work!
And the importance of other people’s input makes intentionally crafting it worth the effort. Because it always helps me manifest a version of reality more aligned with my true desires for it.
